AI visibility for the new buyer journey

When customers ask AI what to buy, does your brand make the shortlist?

Buyerfront measures how your brand appears when buyers use AI to research, compare and choose products and services, then shows you where competitors are winning and where your biggest visibility opportunities may be.

Measured across real buyer questions and leading AI discovery experiences.

How it works

Measure, diagnose, improve, monitor.

  1. 01

    Measure

Test commercially relevant buyer questions and capture how your brand and competitors appear across AI discovery experiences.

  2. 02

    Diagnose

Identify visibility gaps, competitor advantages, citations, source patterns and inaccurate or missing brand information.

  3. 03

    Improve

Prioritise practical improvements across content, brand clarity, technical accessibility, authority and third-party evidence.

  4. 04

    Monitor

Repeat controlled measurements to understand how your AI visibility changes over time.

Integrity

We don’t promise to rank you #1 in ChatGPT.

AI responses are probabilistic and no legitimate agency controls what an AI system recommends. Buyerfront measures what happens, improves the signals and evidence we can legitimately influence, and monitors how the picture changes.

Experiments

See what AI tells your buyers.

We test real commercial buying questions, compare the brands that appear, inspect the sources shaping those answers and turn the findings into practical visibility opportunities.

We tested the AI buyer journey for CRM software.

Using a fixed set of buyer-intent questions, we recorded which brands were cited across AI answers. Four names absorbed most of the observed attention.

Share of observed citation mentions

HubSpot
38.8%
Salesforce
14.4%
Pipedrive

Zoho CRM

The key insight

But HubSpot.com wasn’t the whole story.

HubSpot’s brand appeared across a much wider evidence ecosystem, including independent publishers, communities, comparison content and other third-party sources.

Where the evidence came from

  • 01Brand's own domainOwned content and product pages
  • 02Independent publishersEditorial reviews and roundups
  • 03CommunitiesPractitioner discussion and Q&A
  • 04Comparison contentVendor versus vendor pages
  • 05Other third-party sourcesDirectories, listings and analysis

AI visibility isn’t simply another Google ranking.

MethodologyObserved September 2026 using a fixed set of CRM buyer-intent queries. AI responses are probabilistic and results can vary by engine, query and time. Citation patterns show observed associations, not proof of causation. This was an internal Buyerfront experiment, not client work.

What we analyse

What happens when we test your brand?

We ask the kinds of questions your prospective customers actually ask AI.

  • What's the best [category] for a 50-person company?
  • What are the best alternatives to [competitor]?
  • Which [category] is best for [specific use case]?
  • [Your brand] vs [competitor]: which is better for [buyer type]?

What we look at

  • Whether your brand appears in relevant AI buyer journeys
  • Which competitors make the shortlist
  • How your brand is described
  • Which sources and domains appear alongside recommendations
  • Where competitors have stronger evidence or coverage
  • Important buyer questions where your brand is absent
  • Differences across AI discovery experiences

Five gaps we diagnose

  1. 01

    Discovery gap

Does AI know your company belongs in the category at all?

  2. 02

    Shortlist gap

Does AI know your brand but recommend competitors instead?

  3. 03

    Positioning gap

Are you appearing for the buyer types and use cases you actually want to win?

  4. 04

    Citation gap

AI mentions you, but relies on other sources rather than your content.

  5. 05

    Evidence ecosystem gap

Competitors are reinforced by stronger independent sources, comparisons, reviews, editorial coverage or other credible evidence.
